Egypt has conducted more than 1 million PCR coronavirus tests – official

Egypt has so far conducted over one million polymerase chain reaction (PCR) lab tests to detect the coronavirus, a presidential adviser said on Thursday.

Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs, asserted that hospitals have enough protective equipment for their medical staff and personnel for at least 15 days.

He added that thousands of intensive care units at Egyptian hospitals are ready to receive any cases if needed.
