Egypt Fashion Week (EFW) will kick off on May 12th at the Egyptian Museum, under the theme of “The Past, Present and Future.” The show will afterwards move to the Museum of Agriculture, opening its doors for the first time after renovation.
“We knew the time had come to show the world our pool of creative talents and local… industry,” Susan Sabet, co-founder of Egypt’s Fashion stated. She also explained EFW took four years of preparations to ensure it is up to the level of recognized global fashion weeks.
The event will include catwalk shows, in addition to fashion exhibitions of local and international designers. This includes Cairo Design District, FAD Dubai, Creative Space Beirut, and the Azza Fahmy Design Studio.
Egyptian culture has been the source of inspiration for many international renowned fashion houses like Chanel and Zuhair Murad.
