The Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) total assets increased to 3.699 trillion Egyptian pounds ($149.6 billion) at the end of November from 3.480 trillion pounds last October, according to a data which Amwal Al Ghad obtained a copy.
The total gold balances have reached 173.658 billion pounds at the end of last November, up from 159.062 billion in October.
CBE’s total contributions to the capital of international financing institutions rose to 16.190 billion pounds at the end of last November, compared to 15.895 billion at the end of October 2022.
The bank’s contributions to the capital of subsidiaries also increased to 28.028 billion pounds, compared to 27.959 billion in the two comparison periods.
The capital of the CBE stabilised at 21.6 billion pounds by the end of last November, while the reserves recorded 328.6 billion pound and the total property rights amounted about 3.8 billion pounds.
