Egypt boosts investments in Africa with 9 agreements

Egypt has signed nine agreements with a number of African states within the last period to enhance and protect investments there, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said Tuesday.

The minister added that the signed agreements included Ethiopia, Comoros, Mali, Malawi, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

Investment ministry is currently negotiating with another states to sign agreements with in order to increase the volume of Egyptian investments in Africa within the upcoming period, Salman clarified.

Minister Salman noted that the ministry is exerting efforts to support Egyptian private sector to enter African markets through providing all information about the available investment opportunities in all sectors. Additionally, the ministry is finding mechanism to cooperate with local and global banks and financial organisations.
