Egypt’s Ambassador to Algeria Ayman Mosharafa said on Tuesday he discussed with Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab means of boosting bilateral relations in the oil field.
Speaking to MENA, Mosharafa said the meeting tackled several issues of mutual concern, topped by oil exploration projects in Africa and exchange of expertise in the field of training and capacity-building.
Mosharafa noted that Arkab extended during the meeting an invitation to his Egyptian counterpart Tareq El-Molla to visit Algeria soon.
The Egyptian firms are keen on cooperating with their Algerian peers to carry out projects inside and outside Algeria, he noted.
The meeting also tackled means of promoting relations between the two countries in the fields of electricity, power and petrochemicals.
