Egypt is seeking to bolster the cooperation with the Silk Road Fund, said Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, on Tuesday.
The statement was made during a meeting between Al-Mashat and Zhou Jun, President of the Silk Road Fund.
In the meeting, they discussed ways to support infrastructure projects and foster cooperation, especially in investment, trade, and economic collaboration.
Al-Mashat welcomed the delegation to Egypt, highlighting the significance of the evolving Egyptian-Chinese relations.
She also stressed on the government’s dedication towards enhancing Chinese investments in Egypt, as well as leveraging technological and developmental expertise in economic cooperation.
They also discussed the Fund’s role in supporting a number of projects under the Belt and Road Initiative and the financial tools it offers.
This comes with the Chinese government’s support and the recent 80 billion yuan capital investment during this year’s Belt and Road Forum.
