At the closure of the sixth edition of EGYPS 2023 taking place under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, winners of the Global Equality In Energy Awards were announced on Wednesday.
During the ceremony, Petroleum Minister Tarek al-Molla awarded the winners for their contributory roles in equity and diversity in the energy industry.
The winners included employees from national and international oil companies besides technology and solution providers for their noteworthy contributions in the energy market with proven robust leadership skills, constant success on both personal and professional levels, and notable capabilities in achieving career progress and harnessing the working environment.
Six winners were declared for three award categories:
As for Women In Leadership category, Shahira Osman, Regional Branded Workshops Channel Manager at Chevron, was announced as winner and Omnia Bekheit, Investment and Financial Planning General Manager at ANOPC, was awarded as highly commended finalist.
Marwa Maghraby, Process Engineer at ENPPI, was named as STEM Star of The Year. Meanwhile, Mariam Shreif, Imperial College student, was names as highly commended finalist.
Lamees Sultan, Offshore Site Engineer at BP, was announced as the winner of EX-GEN Female of the Year award, which was accepted on her behalf by her mother. Maureen Amir, Completions Engineer at BP, received the highly commended award.
