EFSA: Egypt’s leasing contracts surge 67.3% in 3 months

Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) revealed leasing contracts have increased to record 8.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($474.5 million) between April and June 2018.

The leasing contracts increased 67.3 percent compared to the same period a year earlier recording 5.1 billion pounds.

EFSA reports further noted that  the number of contracts have grown to 461 compared to 390 contracts with an increase of 18.2 percent.

Moreover, the county’s real estate sector attained 72.6 percent of leasing activity contracts worth 6.2 billion pounds, while heavy trucks sector obtained 6.6 percent and heavy equipment sector captured 8.15 percent.

on the other hand, production lines sector has came third with contracts worth 404 million pounds recording 4.74 percent of the total amount of contracts.
