A European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) delegation will arrive in Cairo on Monday to discuss cooperation with Egyptian authorities and private sector companies.
tHE The four-day visit will include meetings with Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Investment Minister Sahar Nasr, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir, and central bank governor Tarek Amer.
EBRD delegation will also meet with the Egyptian business community, diplomats, international partners, and NGOs.
The delegation involves EBRD’s board directors – Kyu Hong Cho representing Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Egypt; György Barcza representing Hungary, Slovakia, Czech, Croatia, and Georgia; Felipe Martínez representing Spain and Mexico; and Michael Offer representing Germany. The board delegation also includes Remigi Winzap representing Switzerland, Ukraine, Liechtenstein, Turkmenistan, Serbia, Montenegro, and Uzbekistan. This is in addition to EBRD alternate directors namely Peter Basch for the European Union; Nathalie Dubé for Canada, Morocco, Jordan, and Tunisia; Märt Kivine for Sweden, Iceland, and Estonia; Philip Lindsay for Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Egypt; and Jens Lundsgaard for Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, and Kosovo.
