East Port Said Development company is set to receive 2.5 million metre square from the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) by June 2020 in order to develop Suez Canal axis, General Manager of Commercial Affairs, Ahmed Al Mufti.
The Company is responsible for the development, management, and marketing of the East Port Said Industrial Zone, which has a total area of 16 million sqm. It is assumed that the development process will take place in several phases with 4 million metres each.
The company has already recieved 1.5 million metre square for the first phase of the project during last year, Ahmed Al Mufti added.
The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and Armed Forces Engineering Authority has completed the soil treatment works of this area.
He also added that the company is currently focusing on promoting the opportunities available in the project, particularly in the automotive, building materials and feeding industries sectors.
