DHL, the world’s leading cross-border express services provider, is currently negotiating with the Egyptian finance ministry over developing the country’s Customs Authority through speeding up the shipping process, said the General Manager on Wednesday.
Amr Tantawi, General Manager of DHL Egypt, noted that it comes as part of the company’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market within the years of 2013-2014. DHL has allocated investments worth EGP 200 million for the years of 2013-2014.
Tantawi further added that the current talks with the finance ministry also tackle other countries’ successful expertise in customs shipping for the firm aims to boost its businesses in the country.
Moreover, Tantawi referred that DHL is also in talks with the Egyptian Post over means of developing the authority. DHL seeks to provide the Egyptian Post with its great global expertise.
