Leading express shipping provider, DHL Express intends to inaugurate a new office in Cairo International Airport with investments worth 500 million Egyptian pounds (US$63.8 million), Middle East and North Africa CEO Nour Suliman said Monday.
This comes as part of the company’s strategy to expand its business in Egypt, Suliman told Amwal Al Ghad.
The official made these remarks on the sidelines of the initiative launched by DHL Monday to promote Egypt.
The current investments of DHL are estimated at 500 million Egyptian pounds, the official said, adding that the company seeks to double them in 2015.
Suliman further clarified that the new expansions aim at achieving a greater presence for Egypt all over the world.
DHL Express is a division of the German logistics company Deutsche Post DHL providing international express mail services. Deutsche Post is the world’s largest logistics company operating around the world. DHL is a world market leader in sea and air mail.
