Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil is set to inaugurate the first round of Destination Africa tomorrow with the participation of missions from Africa, Europe, U.S., and some Arab states.
Destination Africa is the first sourcing fair in Egypt that aims at linking Egypt with all African states as a trade centre for textiles and readymade garments industry in Africa.
The fair -which is organised by Egyptian Textile and Ready-made Garments export councils- will take place in 11-12 October 2016.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Wednesday, Head of Egyptian Textile Export Council, Hassan Eshra asserted that Destination Africa is considered as an initiative by private sector to enhance efforts of the Egyptian government to deepen trade and industry ties with Africa.
Destination Africa is set to be held in cooperation with the Egyptian Exporters Association-Expolink (EEA) and expected to encompass around 75 Egyptian and African exhibitors and set to focus on presenting Egyptian textiles.
Eshra added that the Egyptian private sector exerts more efforts to enhance national economy and bring stability to different productive sectors back.
