Egyptian Customs Authority endorsed a law unifying the procedures and methodology in state’s air, sea, and land ports through following the executive regulations for Customs Law.
In a press release, Head of the authority, Magdy Abdel Aziz stated Saturday that the decision would achieve the concept of transparency and boost regulations of custom supervision on imports.
On other side, Egypt targets attaining custom revenues estimated at around 27 billion Egyptian pounds (US$3 billion) during 2016 opposed to 20.5 billion pounds (US$2.6 billion) in 2015.
In January 2016, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has issued a decree raising customs tariffs imposed on a large number of imports.
