China’s TV maker Konka eyes $100 mln investments in Egypt by 2020-end

China’s leading TV manufacturer Konka Group seeks to increase the volume of its investments in Egypt to $100 million by the end of 2020, Ahmed AbdelHamid, said.

Konka Egypt Vice President made these comments during a press conference to celebrate the company’s launching of its products in Egypt.

China’s leading TV manufacturer Konka Group inaugurated its LED TV factory in Beni Suef, south of the Egyptian capital city on Thursday with total investments of $30 million.

He pointed out that Konka intended to pump new investments of $ 70 million in Egypt until  2019 end through the expansion of TV screens  production plant in Beni Suef

The company seeks to introduce new products manufactured by the parent company in China including  washing machines,  refrigerators and lamps.

He also added that the Chinese company is currently manufacturing 600,000 TV screens currently and is aiming to increase the volume of production to one million  TV screens by the end of 2019, pointing out that the plant provides 1500 jobs opportunities.
