Chile’s state-run oil company ENAP Sipetrol says it intends to step up its investments in Egypt by taking part in the state upcoming global tender for oil and gas explorations.
Marcelo Tokman, chief executive of ENAP Sipetrol, made his remarks following his meeting on Monday with Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tarek el-Molla and other government officials in the presence of Chilean consul in Egypt and Sayed Rezk, ENAP Sipetrol’s General Manager.
The total production of ENAP Sipetrol has reached 18,000 barrels of crude oil per day in Petroshahd field in the Western Desert, Tokman told the Egyptian minister.
ENAP Sipetrol has completed the construction of crude pipelines in Petroshahd field and is planning to drill new gas exploration wells in Ras Qattara in the country’s eastern desert region, Tokman added.
