A Russian business delegation will arrive in Egypt for a two-day visit on 25 and 26 of this month, the Russian-Egyptian Business Council announced Thursday.
More than 300 of Russian businessmen will take part in the delegation, whose visit is coordinated with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the council’s CEO, Mona Khalil, said in statements to the press.
It will be headed by Russia’s Industry and Trade Minister Denis Valentinovich Manturov, she added, noting that his Egyptian counterpart, Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman and International Cooperation Minister Naglaa al-Ahwany are expected to attend the meetings.
According to Khalil, Russian and Egyptian businessmen will discuss investment, agriculture, banking and commercial aviation during the visit. She added that Russian pharmaceutical companies are eager to open production lines in Egypt.
The commercial exchange between Egypt and Russia stood at US$5.5 billion in 2014.
