Bapco Energies joins 2024’s SFME as strategic partner

by Aya El Sayed

Sustainability Forum Middle East (SFME) declared on Sunday that Bapco Energies, the integrated energy company at the forefront of Bahrain’s energy transition, is a strategic partner for the forum’s second edition.

The SFME is scheduled to start on January 8, 2024, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the auspices of the Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina.

The advocates will focus on climate action and “Achieving Net Zero – Pathways to Accelerating Implementation.”

The partnership with Bapco Energies strengthens its leading role in climate action. It is actively steering the shift in Bahrain’s energy scenario, laying the groundwork for a sustainable future.

Mark Thomas, the Group CEO, will be leading the event with a keynote speech for influential decision-makers and experts in sustainability. The Forum is considered an essential stage for industry frontrunners to explore strategies for regional energy transition and to identify vital funding needs for the MENA region’s net-zero goals.

“We take pride in being a strategic partner for the second consecutive year. Our partnership reflects our steadfast commitment and unwavering support for Bahrain’s ambitious Net-Zero by 2060 target and its sustainable economic diversification,” stated Thomas.
“Through this partnership, we not only reaffirm our commitment to local climate action but also champion this agenda across the region,” he added.
