Egypt’s state-run construction Arab Contractors (AC) has beaten European rivals in two tenders to implement projects in Tunisia and Congo, an official in the company said on Monday.
The Egyptian company is waiting to receive an official mandate for the two projects within this year, AC’s head of African sector Ibrahim Mabrouk told Amwal Al Ghad.
“Our financial and technical offer for the tender to build a large hospital in Tunisia have ranked first, beating out around five French companies in addition to an alliance of Tunisian firms,” Mabrouk said.
AC’s financial and technical offer to establish Congo’s interior ministry premise has also won the first place amid fierce competition with a number of European companies, the Egyptian official added.
The Congolese project is an EU-funded, Mabrouk said.
