ADIB Egypt bank first-half net profit climbs 49.5%

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt (ADIB Egypt) reported on Wednesday a 49.5 percent year-on-year growth in net profit in the first half of the year.

Net profit after tax recorded 1.016 billion Egyptian pounds ($53.1 million) at the end of June 2022, from 680.157 million pounds at the end of June 2021.

Profits have totalled 1.583 billion pounds in the first half of 2022, around 50.5 percent higher from 1.051 billion pounds in the first half of 2021.

Total deposits also surged by 8.8 percent to 82.33 billion pounds at the end of June 2022, from 75.679 billion pounds at the end of December 2021.
