Egypt’s largest ceramics maker Cleopatra Group intends to build two factories for ceramics, porcelain and their derivatives by next year, said its chairman Mohamed Abou el-Enein to Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday.
The new factories will be with total investments of 6 billion Egyptian pounds ($368.5 million), Abou el-Enein said.
He added that building the two factories will increase the company production capacity by 50 percent, pointing out that one of them will be built in Ain Sokhna, while the other in 10th of Ramadan industrial complex.
They will create around 8,000 and 10,000 jobs, increasing the number of Cleopatra’s workers to 35,000 from 25,000, he said.
