Remittances from Egyptian expats rise to $25.5 bln in 2018

Egypt’s remittances from workers abroad rose 3.1 percent to around $25.5 billion in 2018, the central bank said on Tuesday.

The remittances, which are one of the country’s main sources of foreign currency, stood at $24.7 billion in 2017, the central bank said in a statement.
