UK-based telecom giant Vodafone Group Plc says its revenues in Egypt recorded €962 million (around 20 billion Egyptian pounds) at the end of financial year 2017/2018.
Vodafone Egypt’s pre-tax profits reached 8.5 billion Egyptian pounds, while the operational profits reached 5.6 billion pounds, the company added in a statement.
Vodafone’s financial year begins in April and ends in March of each year. The mobile operator said the financial results were based on euro’s exchange rate of around 20.8 Egyptian pounds.
Numbers of customers has reached 42.3 million, Vodafone’s statement said, adding that the number of users fell by 200,000 during the fourth quarter.
