Egypt Aluminum Q1 net profit jumps to 712 million pounds

Egypt Aluminum Company’s (Egyptalum), the largest aluminium producer in Egypt and Africa, first-quarter net profit climbed to 712 million Egyptian pounds ($40.3 million), the company said Sunday in a bourse filling.

Earlier, profit stood at ‍28.8​ million pounds during the first quarter of 2016.

The company made sales worth 3.11 billion pounds up from 1.49 billion pounds last year.
