Egyptian state-run Alexandria Petroleum Company’s output reached 33.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.9 billion) during the financial year 2016/2017, its chairman Medhat Bahgat said Tuesday.
The company also produced 85,000 tonnes of butane gas, one million tonnes of naphtha, 383,000 tonnes of jet fuel, 1.3 million tonnes of diesel, and 1.8 million tonnes of fuel oil, Bahgat further added said.
The Egyptian official earlier made his remarks during a meeting with rge county’s Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla, attended by head of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Abed Ezz El-Regal.
In addition, Alexandria Petroleum refined 4.5 million tonnes of high-quality oil products to meet the domestic needs of diesel, butane gas, naphtha, and asphalt.
Founded in 1954, Alexandria Petroleum is a state-owned oil refinery firm operating in producing and exporting petroleum products in Egypt.
