Building materials exports to be hiked by $552m annually: Egypt’s chamber

Egyptian Building Materials Chamber at Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) targets raising exports volume by 10 billion Egyptian pounds (US$552 million) annually within the coming period.

Chamber’s Vice-chairman Sayed Abaza stated that Marmomacc + Samoter Africa – Stone + Design + Technology & Construction equipment Trade Fair- MS Africa & Middle East 2016 aims at boosting Egypt’s marble and granite exports to Africa and Arab states in particular and the whole world generally.

MS Africa & Middle East 2016 kicks off today at Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre (CICC) in line with Projex Africa. Both fairs takes place on 10-13 December 2016.

The fairs are organised by Italy’s Veronafiere in cooperation with the Egyptian Exporters Association-Expolink and Art Line Company for Organizing International Exhibitions and Conferences.

Abaza added that Veronafiere conducted a study about granite and marble sector since it is one of the vital sectors in Egypt. The study is set to be submitted to Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil, the official said.

MS Africa & Middle East 2016 combines the entire natural stone chain in a single showcase.

Architects, interior designers, construction companies, distributors, rental, professionals in the quarrying world are set to participate in MS Africa & Middle East 2016.

Meanwhile, Projex Africa focuses on the present and the future of the building material industries in Egypt and Africa, whereby Green Buildings, energy efficiency and innovations through illustrations, seminars, forums in building construction industry.
