Trade minister appoints new head for Egypt’s Commercial Service Office

by Noha Gad

Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil issued a decree Monday to appoint Ahmed Antar as the new chairman for Egypt’s Commercial Service Office (ECS) to succeed Ali El Leithy. Previously, Antar was serving as the head of Egypt’s service office in Paris.

The newly-appointed head Antar asserted that the ESC would face a big challenge within the coming period as it plays a key role in achieving trade ministry’s strategy that aims at boosting Egyptian exports to foreign markets.

He noted that the ECS provides a lot of services for business and exporters societies as it links them with their counterparts in different states as pursuant to Egypt’s policy to activate exports and modernising the national industry.
