Egyptian Commercial Service Office in Cairo (ECS) received last week a mission of Lebanese businessmen working in field of building materials.
Chairman of ECS, Ali El-Leithy stated Monday that the Lebanese businessmen signed export contracts on 200 containers of ceramic to be provided through a number of Egyptian factories.
He added that those factories have already started shipping the containers to Lebanon, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
The official clarified that Lebanon’s share of those agreements are estimated at 60 percent of the total containers number.
The ECS has prepared and arranged for the visit of the Lebanese delegation that comes among ‘Egypt- Lebanon to Africa’ initiative that has been launched in May 2016 by Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil, El-Leithy noted.
The chairperson pointed out that the ECS is currently preparing for a mission to promote Egyptian exports in Tripoli next October.
Moreover, El-Leithy added that the commercial service office at Beirut is about to sent Egyptian delegations to a number of African markets by the middle of November 2016.
The missions target a number of African states -notably Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone- relying on a number of exporting sectors such as building materials, pharmaceuticals, food industries, in addition to engineering and chemical industries.
