Brazilian imports to Egypt record $1bn in 7 months: Arab-Brazilian Chamber

The Egyptian market was ranked the third among the largest importers of Brazilian products in January-July 2016 with imports worth US$1 billion pounds.

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce – CCAB announced that food products seized the lion’s share of the total Brazilian imports to Egyptian market as Egypt is the second largest buyer of Brazilian meat in the world.

The CEO of the chamber, Michel Alaby stated Sunday that around 10 Brazilian firms are set to participate in the Brazilian Festival which is set to take place in Cairo.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber and the Embassy of Brazil in Egypt will take 10 companies to exhibit their products in the largest hypermarket of Egypt, Hyper One Store.

The Brazilian Festival, in which Brazilian products will gain prominence in the Egyptian market, will be held from 6 to 9 September. In addition, participating companies will also have two days of meetings with B2Bs the biggest buyers in the region.
