Egypt’s exports to Germany rose 13.6% in 2015 – chamber

Egyptian exports to Germany increased by 13.6 percent to €1.7 billion during 2015, Hassanein Tawfiq, a member of German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC) stated Tuesday.

He added that German exports to Egypt increased by 25 percent to €3.35 billion in 2015, leading the volume of trade exchange between two states to hit around €5 billion.

Tawfiq asserted that trade and economic ties between Egypt and Germany are strong and the GACIC plans to upgrade and enhance them within the upcoming period.

The official clarified that the chamber is considered as a trade moderator between Egypt and Germany to enhance economic relations and boosting joint investments .

The aim of GACIC is the trade promotion, industrial development, and strengthening Egyptian-German cooperation in business and trade fields, Tawfiq noted.
