Kapci seizes 73% of Egypt’s paints exports- report

Kapci Coatings has captured 73% of Egypt’s exports of paints and water based inks, obtaining 105 million Egyptian pounds (US$13.4 million) within the first half of 2015.

According to the monthly report made by The Chemical Export Council (CEC) Sunday, Kapci’s – Egypt’s leading paints and coating manufacturer- exports have reached 18.7 million Egyptian pounds in June 2015.

The report stated that Egypt’s paints exports have been dropped 40% from January-June 2015, recording 159.4 million Egyptian pounds opposed to 265 million Egyptian pounds within the same period of 2014.

On other side, Egyptian Company for Advanced Chemical Technology (ECAT) has achieved exports worth 10.4 million Egyptian pounds during the first half of 2015 while the exports of Egyptian Global Coatings Company (Egco-Coatings) hit 5.8 million Egyptian pounds at the same period, the monthly report showed.

The report clarified that Saudi Arabia topped the list of states importing Egyptian coatings within the first six months of 2015, seizing 44% of exports with 49.2 million Egyptian pounds. Following Saudi Arabia came Nigeria with exports volume estimated at 14.3 million Egyptian pounds and Sudan with 10.5 million Egyptian pounds.
