German’s Henkel to invest $39mln in Egypt

The international homecare and beauty firm, Henkel, plans a LE300 million ($38.8 million) investment in its factories in Egypt this year, according to a Wednesday statement from the Ministry of Industry and International Trade.

Henkel, which began its operations in Egypt in 1992, has two plants in the canal city of Port Said and in 6th of October City in Cairo.

The maker of the detergent Persil and soap Fa, employs 830 workers in the country.
