Egypt’s volume of exports to Kuwait inched up by 5.4% during the first half of 2014, said head of the country’s trade representative office in Kuwait Gamal Faisal.
The Egyptian exports to Kuwait reached US$172.6 million during first half of 2014, from US$166.8 million a year earlier.
Faisal further pointed out that Egypt’s main commodities exported to Kuwait were food products, furniture, and agricultural crops such as orange, grapes and onion.
Meanwhile, the official further referred that Egypt’s Industry and Trade Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour is ongoing visit so as to sign an economic cooperation deal with Kuwait.
The agreement was initialed in Cairo in October, he noted.
Faisal added that the final agreement would be signed on Sunday.
