The US dollar’s exchange rate in banks against the Egyptian pound rose by one piaster and half on Monday to EGP 6.9176 for buying and EGP 6.9477 for selling, opposed to Sunday’s levels of EGP 6.9033 for buying and EGP 6.9334 for selling.
The rise in the US currency’s price coincides with the Egyptian Central Bank’s 50th FX auctions to local banks of US$ 40 million on Monday.
