Ukraine is set to restart limited electricity exports this Sunday, according to the country’s energy ministry, cited by Reuters.
However, the ministry stated that it anticipated a significant increase in power imports during peak usage times. This comes after Ukraine had to ramp up its electricity imports significantly and suspend exports due to a series of attacks on its energy infrastructure in late March and early April.
The ministry has assured that there are no plans for electricity shortages or emergency interventions for the current day. It is projected that around 139 Mwh could be exported on Sunday, while imports could reach as high as 8,430 Mwh.
