Saudi women’s employment rises to 30.1%

In Saudi Arabia, the employment-to-population ratio among females increased by 0.6 percentage points to 30.1 per cent in fourth quarter of 2023 with a labour force participation reached 35.9, according to the latest report from GASTAT.

However, the participation rate declined by 0.4 percentage points to 35.5 per cent, while the unemployment rate decreased significantly by 2.6 percentage points to 13.7 per cent compared to the previous quarter of 2023.

Among Saudi males, the employment-to-population ratio and labour force participation rate both decreased by 0.2 percentage points, reaching 63.5 per cent and 66.6 per cent, respectively.
