Monday’s trading session on the Moscow Exchange saw a positive start for Russia’s stock market, as reported by TASS.
The MOEX Index rose by 0.33 per cent to reach 3,343.66 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index increased by 0.37 per cent to 1,141.11 points, as per the trading data at 10:00 am Moscow time (07:00 am GMT).
By 10:15 am (07:15 am GMT), the upward trend continued with the MOEX Index further climbing by 0.6 per cent to 3,352.86 points and the RTS Index rising by 0.71 per cent to 1,144.94 points.
In the currency market, the dollar exchange rate fell by 0.25 per cent to 92.25 rubles, and the euro also saw a slight decrease of 0.09 per cent to 99.56 rubles.
In contrast, the yuan experienced a small increase of 0.11 per cent, trading at 12.685 rubles on the Moscow Exchange.
