Nokia and Dell Technologies have announced a partnership to deploy private 5G networks and adapt networks to the cloud, according to a statement released by Nokia company on Thursday.

Customers of Nokia AirFrame, the telecom equipment maker’s cloud-focused data centre business, will provide Dell’s customers with a comprehensive, scalable private wireless solution, said chief strategy and technology officer, Nokia.

Nokia and Dell will integrate Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) with Dell’s NativeEdge software platform to advance open network architectures in the telecom ecosystem and private 5G use cases among businesses.

The companies will continue their joint research and development initiatives, including testing platforms and applications in the Dell Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab, the statement added.

Both companies plan to certify workloads on Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks that support Nokia Cloud offerings, while also continuing to collaborate on OEM engagements.
