Egyptian Trade Minister, Ahmed Samir and Turkey’s Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, İbrahim Burkay discussed plans to establish a Turkish industrial zone in Egypt, according to a statement carried by the Egyptian Cabinet’s Facebook page on Tuesday.
In order to take advantage of the many benefits offered by the Egyptian business climate, the Turkish Chamber was eager to develop an industrial zone in Egypt, with a focus on textiles, automobiles, aluminum, machinery, equipment, and cutting-edge technology, the minister stated.
Burkay, for his part, clarified that the Turkish chamber, with its fifty-five thousand members, is the biggest in Turkey. About half of its operations, he noted, are related to industry. Specifically, he mentioned the $25 billion in investments made on an area of 10 million square metres in the Bursa industrial zone.
