Egypt’s prime minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, has directed the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) to establish a development plan for the agency and report to him regularly on its efforts to regulate the local market, the Egyptian Cabinet stated on Sunday.
Dr. Madbouly, during his meeting with the Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, Ibrahim Al-Sijini, emphasised the agency’s crucial role, particularly given the government’s commitment to control prices. He also instructed all research centres, universities and the Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) to conduct thorough studies of the local market to control prices and effectuate the role played by (CPA).
