Hamas and Israel have agreed on a humanitarian pause in Gaza for four days, subject to extension, Qatari foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
The starting time of the humanitarian pause is yet to be announced in the next 24 hours.
The pause is mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. and it includes the release of 50 civilian women and children hostages currently held in the Gaza Strip.
In exchange, Israel will release around 150 of Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons, the Qatari ministry said in a statement.
“The number of those released will be increased in later stages of implementation of the agreement,” it added.
