Russia to send 27 tonnes of aid to Gaza

Russia will send 27 tonnes of humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip, Moscow’s emergency situations ministry said on Thursday.

The aid will be transported to Egypt and will line up with the rest of the aid waiting to get into Gaza.

“A special plane has taken off from the airport at Ramenskoye near Moscow for El-Arish, in Egypt.” deputy minister Ilya Denisov said in a statement.

“The Russian humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent to be sent to the Gaza Strip,” he added.
