Qatar State Energy Company, Qatar Energy, has announced on Tuesday the signing of a long-term agreement with Japan-based Marubeni Corporation, to supply up to 1.2 million tons per annum of naphtha starting from October 2023.

This agreement reinforces Japan’s trust in Qatar as a reliable energy provider while further fostering cooperation between the two countries, Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the president and CEO of Qatar Energy, said in a statement.

The agreement was signed by Qatar Energy, for and on behalf of Qatar Petroleum for the Sale of Petroleum Products Company Ltd. (QPSPP), and Marubeni Petroleum Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation.
