The value of trade between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) increased to reach $4.9 billion in 2022, compared to $4.8 billion in 2021, up 2.5 percent, according data released by Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The value of UAE investments in Egypt rose to $5.7 billion in fiscal year 2021/2022 compared to $1.4 billion in 2020/2021, recording an increase of $4.3 billion and a rise of 300.8 percent, the data added.
Egyptian imports from the UAE fell to $2.9 billion in 2022, compared to $3 billion in 2021, a decline of 2.3 percent. While, Egypt’s exports to the UAE grew $1.9 billion in 2022, up from $1.8 billion in 2021.
