Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al-Sayed el-Quseir signed an agreement on Saturday with China’s Deputy Minister of Customs Wang Lingjun, to start exporting mangoes for Chinese market.
The agreement considers a starting point for enhancing the presence of Egyptian agricultural commodities in the Chinese market, especially after Egypt joined the BRICS Group, according to a statement published by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Lingjun said that the Egyptian products in Chinese markets over the past years increased by 30 percent, noting that Egyptian citrus currently occupies the second place among agricultural products exported to China from around the world.
