Egypt is discussing boosting cooperation with JP Morgan, said Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat on Wednesday.

This came during a meeting between Al-Mashat and the Executive Director of JP Morgan Chase’s office in Egypt Soha Ali.

Al-Mashat gave Ali and a group of international investors and investment fund officials a briefing on the role the ministry plays in enhancing economic relations with multilateral development partners.

They also reviewed the latest global economic developments and how they impacted emerging economies and developing countries.

Ali expressed JP Morgan’s keenness on backing Egypt’s efforts to increase investments in the private sector.
