Greenpeace activists climbed Deutsche Bank’s headquarters in Frankfurt on Wednesday and hung up a yellow banner to protest the bank and its asset management company, DWS’s climate investment policies.

The protest came right before the annual shareholder meeting of DWS, which has been accused of drawing attention from activists and regulators over allegations of its misleading investors about green investments.

Deutsche Bank said that “sustainability and climate protection were “strategic priorities” and that it supports DWS in the development of its sustainability policies and standards.”

The banner Greenpeace protestors unfurled stretched across part of the glass facade on the lower section of the Bank’s twin office towers, with “Force DWS to protect the climate” written in German.

DWS agreed with Greenpeace that climate change required decisive action but disagreed on how to get there, DWS said in a statement, adding that it had adopted new policies on dealing with coal companies.
