Elon Musk said he will resign as Twitter’s chief executive officer when he finds someone “foolish enough to take the job,” according to his tweet on Wednesday.
This decision came following the result of a Twitter poll which saw 17 million voters or 57.5 percent have supported Musk stepping down as CEO.
Even when Musk finds a new person to head Twitter, he will still be the owner and ultimate decision-maker at the company.
Since Musk bought Twitter in October, he has fired about half of its staff and attempted a rollout of Twitter’s paid-for verification feature before putting it on pause.
I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.
