Egypt’s GASC directly purchases 300,000 tons of Russian wheat – traders

Egypt's GASC seeks wheat in international tender from 5 origins

Egypt’s state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has reportedly bought 300,000 tons of Russian wheat through private talks, traders told Reuters on Wednesday.

On Monday, Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhy said the country had sufficient strategic reserves of commodities including wheat to cover its needs for five months.
