U.S. stock markets start higher on first session in week except Dow index

U.S. stocks open the trading session of the week mostly higher on Monday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.39 percent to record 29,476.17, while Nasdaq composite hiked up at 0.91 percent to 10,967.09.

U.S. S&P 500 index gained 5.33 or 0.14 percent to reach 3,698.02 and Russell 2000 index added 5.57 points or 0.33 percent.

Elsewhere, Toronto’s stock index – TSX COMP increased to 18.40 points and record 0.10 percent same as S&P/TSX 60 index.

The Mexico S&P/BMV IPC lifted by 0.05 percent to record the beginning of the session 5.24 points.
